A Saturday evening dinner with one of my girlfriends and our children. This is/was my first outing to Golden Corral in years much less my first experience here in South Florida. The over all service was pleasant. Our waiter always came to check on us spite the overflow customers around. I learned long ago that if your pleasant you receive better service. The food was hit or miss for me. There was a long line for the grill service, rightfully so seemingly that it was one of the best edible pieces of food in there. Everything else seems to be deep fried over drowned in oil or grease. Although, the children seemed to love the fresh fruit, pizza, chocolate fountain and the cotton candy. I actually enjoyed my steak it was grilled perfectly! Also the chocolate covered strawberries my daughter made for me. Other than it being a bit ghetto it was not a bad experience, if you like loud and over crowded. It's a buffet- you get what you pay for!! ;)

Well, I know there are some Golden Corral haters..but quite frankly they have great variety of food for the price! I went on a Sunday about 10:45 am. They serve breakfast till 11. There was a relatively little line and I walked straight up and was able to grab a table. Breakfast was $8.99. While there are a hunch of fattening choices notice the word choice? I chose a made to order omelet with spinach, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and cheese. However, you could add ham, sausage, and other goodies, if you like those things!! The omelette lady was very friendly and I was impressed by her knowledge of many of the customer's and she even knew a few kids names which they loved! When my yummy omelette was finished, they were putting up the breakfast, and I asked if they were out of bacon. The manager pleasantly had them make some for me ( although they were extra crisp- big time- they get an "A" for effort. Service at my table was also as impeccable as the rest of the experience. In addition for me, I was able to get dinner since it begins at 11 a.m for $3 less per person. I had bourbon chicken from the wok station which was very tasty and a fresh grilled steak! I was surprised at the quality of the beef, very little fat, and I asked her to slice mine in half for a little extra cooking with seasoning and again, the chef did it with a smile. I will say Golden Corral has come a long way from the last time I wen there. They have a salad bar, honey bread, cinnamon buns, soup, and lots of dessert, including making your own chocolate covered strawberries. I was full, though, so another time maybe! My only suggestion would be throw in some mimosas and I would be a frequent customer!

THIS IS THE WORST Golden Corral I have every been to. The food is cold. They never refill anything for a long time. Place is dirty and always out of clean plates and silverware. The service is slow if not at all. The guy who cooks the steak is un-friendly and rude. You wait 20 minutes to get steak and he cuts you a small piece of steak. What's up with that? It seems like they just keep letting people pay to come in and there is no place to sit. It is always over packed with loud people. I would got to McDonalds before I would go to this Golden Corral. Stay away for sure.

What kind of home cooking comes from crossing trailer park trash in their Sunday finest with ghettofabulous project bunnies also dressed to make the scene? I'm guessing Golden Corral where gluttony is king and in between hard to chew pieces of steak that would give a dog-chew toy a run for its money there is plenty to dive into at the Corral: fondue chocolate fountains, piles of fried foods from hush puppies to fries, vats of neon orange melted cheese for broccoli or chili and biscuits, buns and bread literally swimming in puddles of incandescent yellow grease, I mean butter. For bang for your buck, yes it's a bargain and I'd be lying if I didn't admit there is a rather large salad buffet where you could keep your waist line in check but when it's limp greens and tired mushrooms vs. slabs of pizza under the hot lamp right next to the fried chicken, who do you think is gonna win? On the weekends expect to see crowds fresh out of Church and large families; but your next visit is going to be to the doctor because all those calories and saturated fats are sure to raise your blood pressure and certainly contribute to why Type 2 Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases in America. Still, to feed a few with a lot and not a lot of money - it prolly can't be beat - so you all come back now, ya hear!

This place needs to be closed down and replaced with something worth my money and time. I have tried to give this location many chances and every time it gets worst. My most recent visit the line was out the door and one cashier open. Not good for a dinner crew. After standing in the line the manager cane out with a "guys this lane is closed -this is the lane" and we were off.

I've been to many golden corrals over the years throughout the state of Florida. ive been to this one in Pembroke Pines at least 10 times and I must say each and every time I had a heck of a time eating the food because of the high content of salt, first I don't like salt at all but there's so much salt in the food. I was sick for 2 days after . must have drank 2 gallons of water over the next two days. I couldn't even sleep I told the waiter and the management about it and they just ignored me. Each time I ate there. I told them the same thing and each time they ignored me I cannot remember any other Golden Corral having that much salt in the food and something needs to be done by the management or they won't be in business that long I think for that reason. Restaurants should not over salt the food in fact they should not even put much salt in the food if any at all, that's what salt shakers are for. gave them a one star the food was horrible with that much salt I will not go back there again. The other golden corrals that I have eaten at did not have this problem.

I rarely eat buffets for one reason... I'm a beast! When I see buffet, the shovel motion begins in autopilot. So I usually go when a friend or family wants me to go. All that aside. I love this chain of restaurants. However this particular location isn't that great. But what do you expect for the money you pay. They have all different types of food to suit just about everyone. This location never seems to have the shrimp selections that they do at other locations. But they still have heaps of different things to eat... problem is... I try it all. Then I cry for the next 10 hours that I feel sick and full!

Well this is a review for the visit on 8/31/13. My family and I went here to celebrate my brother's friend birthday and I notice that the wait to enter is about 5 minutes which is not bad. As we got seated that the table was pulled a bit back from the wall as we were seated in a booth right near the entrance. The table had the lack of napkins in the holder so we had to ask for the waiter to give us the napkins, the waiter was nice anyway even he was a bit slow but to do it. There were about around 15-25 people in our party but some of us decided to split and eat at separate tables outside the private room. Now for the plates that I had: 1: I had a salad served with romaine lettuce, ranch dressing, and shredded parmesan cheese with macaroni salad as a side. 2: I had 2 pieces of chicken breasts served along with breaded shrimp and popcorn shrimp. 3: I went back for more breaded shrimp and macaroni salad, also I had seafood salad too. 4: I was going to get ice cream but the machine was down due to it was out of vanilla ice cream a result bringing a long line so instead I went for cotton candy. 5: As for my final plate, I finished it off with ice cream with cookies and gummy bears as the topping, strawberry in a stick covered from the chocolate fountain, and three chocolate chip cookies. All the food was good and I had Sierra Mist for the drink. Overall, I vote this visit 2 stars due to the problems indicated, would be so much better, the restaurant was crowded in this visit even on a Saturday. I thought the bathrooms would be dirtier but no problems there at all.

This place was full of a lot of rude staff members as well as guests, our waitress was incompetent and we could barely get her to bring us glasses of water. We were not served rolls on our table, and if you're a fan of Golden Corral you know how devastating that is! There was barely any food upon our arrival and what was out seemed to have been there for a while. Their hygiene grade in my opinion was very low, i was very disappointed with my visit.

Worst quality Golden Corral I ever been ...understandably it's a buffet but ..the banana pudding was watery compared to others terrible

All you have to do is take a gander at the people who eat here. Look at their appearance, I am not even commenting on the food, it is a waste of time, because the food is what is making them look like that. I would't advise a homeless individual to eat here. That is why when I walked in looked around at the food, I walked right back out.

I came here hungry. Spent $35 and left hungry. Nothing in here was edible. How do you mess up nacho cheese? I tried to get my money back and was sentenced to return to eat two more times on them. The punishment does not for the crime. Please save your money and eat at grandma's. If there was a way to give this negative stars I would. Should've listened to my husband and gone to Denny's.

Awful place to eat. I went with the family, party of seven on a Sunday. They sat on down, and when we got up to get food, the plates were nasty, there were food spills.... Hardly any food on the on the buffet bar.. On the salad bar hardly any salad.. And a 15 minutes waiting line to get a little hard nasty meat... When I got the meat section there was hardly any meat.. I asked for to pieces since they were so little, and the guy serving the meat was arguing with me cause he said that I was only suppose to get one...!!!! Really?!?! You call that ALL YOU CAN EAT?!?! To make everything shorter, the food was nasty, hardly any food. The carpet smells like piss, the bathrooms are nasty, the drinks?! No taste just water with gas.. That was the coke.. Definitively I don't recommend this place at all...

We have been here many times & I always enjoy my food selections, especially the fried fish, stuffing & fresh fruit. The price is very good, we can go in groups & never had a problem. We can celebrate here without breaking the bank & all are FULL. Great place to meet fam for all u can eat & eat & eat. They luv it.

Even with a coupon, I can't stand this place. The kids love the buffet style food. I tolerate it because the kids can run around and aggravate the staff.

First time at this location. Saw the adds for chicken wings and had to give it a try. All flavors were good but they could not keep up with the demand. We always had to wait for wings to come out due to the small batches they cooked at a time. The flavor of each tray was not marked, so you had to try each to find what you liked. We are not fans of the steak at any location because it is always tough (poor quality). The salad bar is OK and the desert bar is good. The best thing about Golden Corral is, you can always find enough variety to fill you up.

Yes, I know that buffets are immoral for incorporating at least 3 deadly sins, but have you tried the delish selections from Golden Corral lately? I wanted to give this one 5 stars, but the last time I dined here, true fact, a medium-sized roach came up to our table and tried to attack me. Maybe it was a sign.

Every time I go here we get seated in the area where the air conditioner flows right into your face and freezes your food on contact. I went there recently and had the most crucial stomach ache ever after eating there. Mind you I had one plate, salad, and some orange slices. I don't think my stomach could handle going here anymore. Hours of agony. We paid $30 for two lunches and drinks I can't believe that! Two stars for the waiter Pierre who kept the Sweet Tea flowing that was the best thing about the whole damn thing anyway

Very crowded. Not a huge selection of food. For example, The Salad bar which of course was empty was HUGE but then the selection of the fattening stuff carbs, fried things etc was so tiny and massively crowded. To my surprise they did not have Chicken Nuggets? Are you serious? How do you offer a kids menu and not have chicken nuggets? The dessert station looked like they left a baby with a bucket of ice cream. Exactly my point. There were no dessert trays, so we had to wait around 5 minutes until the dirty ones were washed. I say you are better off at a Chinese buffet, simply because they are maintaining and have more than one person in charge. 15-1 is too much to handle in my opinion. On the contrary who's gonna make you a steak your way? You basically get what you pay for, and in no restaurant will you be paying less than $30 bucks to feed four people.

Oy! Not that there aren't enough people on here warning you about this place, but I will add my rewiew, nonetheless. Usually, you can find at least one redeeming quality about a place. Something. Anything. Not so for Golden Corral. Everything you have read in the other reviews is quite accurate. Not only is the food of the absolute lowest quality, but it is also horribly prepared. Add to that the disgusting condition of the place, and the results are not good. The staff is not oblivious to this. They are not blind. They just seem to have the "it is what it is" attitude. The fact that nobody cares is obvious. Unless you are in a hospital or in prison, you should never have to be subjected to this kind of food.

So nasty, like my aunt said " I wouldnt even feed this to my dog" There were flies everywhere :/ Overly crowded, like if this was the last restauarant in the world. WAAAAAYYY too expensive for such low-quality food. Smells like the mcdonalds playpen in there. Let me stop before I throw up..

My husband and I went to Golden Corral for dinner last week. We had been wanting to try this buffet after seeing the commercials. OMG!!! Either the commercials are completely false advertising or the owner of this establishment just doesn't care. The entire restaurant smells like urine. The food seems to all either contain cheese or be sitting next to a vat of cheese. I tried the veg fried rice and the rice was fully undercooked and crunchy. Overall it was a disgusting and scary experience.

Three of us went to the Pembroke Pines location on June 23rd to try the "All You Can Eat Baby Back Ribs". What a joke! After waiting 30 minutes in line to get in, They tried to seat us at a booth/table that could have been used as a rocking horse for a child. I refused to sit there and made them find me a decent table. I should have taken this as a sign and demanded my money back and left. I realize this was a Sunday night and expected it to be crowded. The management should have also expected the crowds. After waiting for ribs to come out of the oven, we were able to get four pieces for the three of us. To get more, we went back in line. There were none there, I asked where the ribs were and was told they are cooking in the oven. Should they not have already been ready, knowing they are serving ALL YOU CAN EAT??? I guess it should read all you can eat if we let you get any. While waiting, one of our party decided to get a piece of steak. She saw it before it was put on the grill and changed her mind. It was grey in color as in OLD meat. We were able to get mashed potatoes and gravy once. When going back it was gone. Asked when it will be ready, we were told fifteen minutes. Fifteen minutes later they hadn't even started to make them. There was no pot roast as advertised. The same issue happened with the Mac & cheese. \ On to the deserts table, there were two slices of sugar free cake. Two of us are diabetic. The slices are so small, that four pieces would equate to a normal size slice of cake anywhere else. Asked if they are going to put more out, the answer was no. Under the sign that said bread pudding, was an apple pie. When I asked where the bread pudding was, I was told there is no more. However, later one of our party came back to the table with freshly made bread pudding. They could have told me it would be replaced soon, but they made no such indications. Both the vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream were empty and we were told no more was being made. The female in our party needed to use the restroom because she was getting the symptoms of the Tijuana Two Step (Diarrhea for those to young to know the saying). She was afraid to use the restroom in the restaurant due to it being an uncleanly mess. We left and found a restroom in a Walgreen's to use. Needless to say, we will NOT be going there again. For the previous idiot claiming all the bad reviews are from the same person, WAKE UP. Maybe he went to the other location in Margate.

First, breakfast with 2 drinks was $21. Quite expensive for a buffet. The food was terrible, barely edible. Bacon was hard, not crispy, just rock hard. The hash browns were the same, hard, dry, not edible. The eggs and waffles are made fresh, so they are ok. I would never return, probably not even to another location.

The worst. This place stinks and when I say stinks I mean it smells. No its not the food. Its the rugs that probably have not been changed in years. The place gave me a headache. Oh and the food is not very good either.

To start we love buffets, we are not big eaters but like to have variety. Last nights experience at your restaurant was not pleasing at all. It was real busy and for the value on a friday evening, I expected that. We (My wife, 2year old son and I) were seated and I asked for a high chair and waited 15 mins to get one after asking 3 people for one. Then proceeded to find a plate to start picking out food and all the plates and silverware were behind all the people that waiting to be seated....yuk! I then decided to get a salad first because the line for the steak blocked all the other food stations. Meanwhile the paramedics were taking out a man on the stretcher. There was a lot of chaos. I sat down to eat my salad and my wife got in line for a steak and after 10 mins waiting she ask for a medium rare steak and sat down to a well done one. I got up to wait in line to get her a replacement and received the same after waiting another 10 minutes. We decided to get the only piece of fried chicken and a couple of sides and sat to eat. It wasn't bad but we wanted steak. I went back a 3rd time and finally got what we wanted..The worst part of the whole experience so far was when my son and I both needed to use the restroom which was blocked off and closed! The only one in the restaurant! I asked if there was another one and the waiter told me that it was closed to a bio hazard and told me why in great detail.....ugh!!! I now have completely lost my appetite!! He told me that there was blood everywhere, toilet, floor and it was a complete mess! So I ask my wife to take my son to the women's rest room and she came back feeling the same because the women's was a complete mess too! We had a little dessert and decided to leave to go find a rest room for my son to use somewhere else. Later last night all of us were up pretty much all night feeling really bad with stomach aches and constant trips to the bathroom! What kind of operation are you guys running here? We thought we would try out your restaurant after seeing all the adds on tv and a friend saying that the food was good for the value. When we left we both looked at each other and said....NEVER AGAIN! I sure hope for YOUR sake that the Golden Corral in Pembroke Pines can take care of their efficiency, cleanliness and food safety! UGH!!! I give it one star just because there was no option to give it negative stars!!!!!

I hate coming to this golden corral the food is nasty and it is always so packed. Just go to the other buffet around the area. This place is not worth the money. I have gotten sick on two ocassions.

Overall, great food, great selection, too crowded, wait time is fair, clean enviorment, small seat space, huge parking, too far from where I live. Give it a try. Well worth the time and money. Remember to take your family!

This place was jam packed. 20 minute wait to get in. Crowds everywhere but the salad bar. This is no place I would have ever chosen to go except my kids had received free children's meals for good behavior at school and wanted the chocolate fountain. Again dirty, crowded, and horrible. Even my kids agree - NEVER AGAIN.

Cafeteria-style buffet which serves lunch and dinner 5 days a week and offers breakfast on weekends. I've had better dinners but, if there's nowhere else to go, I'll head for the corral.

  • John L.

This is the worst golem corral I have ever been to. The line to pay was very long and only one person working the register. The service was also sucked. I had to hunt down the waitress for drink refills. Most of the items on the buffet were very low or empty. I will cross thus one off my list.

The moment you walk in, you detect a strange odor in the air. Not strong, but it's apparent enough to annoy you throughout the experience. It's like decomposed trash. Every time that I went, they no longer serve your beverage at the entrance. You have to wait until someone comes over and gets you your drinks before digging in. And that smell... Ugh. I think it's a deterrent so you'd rather leave than empty their buffet. It's farther away, but go to the Tamarac Golden Corral and avoid this one. Trust me. Last thing you want is to eat your food while a latent odor threatens to make you throw up what you just ate. P.S. I've gone to this place throughout the year, and it's the same odor. Guess they're used to it.

  • Chris P.

It's your typical buffet style restaurant. The breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent and a great value. The candy bacon on the breakfast buffet was awesome! You just can't get all the options for such a small cost. Be sure to arrive early to be able to eat and get out. If you wait for rush hour, it will be a hassle, and unfortunately, the food and service are affected. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Low quality food, low quality ambiance, low quality crowd.. I always feel sick after eating here, that's why I am not going back... $12 pp to get fat and sick? Not worth it..
